At VELLA, we want you to love your reading glasses. If you're not completely satisfied, here's how our return and cancellation policy works.
1) Return Window
You have 30 days from the date you receive your order to initiate a return for a refund or exchange.
2) Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return, items must be:
- Unworn and unused (with protective covers/packaging intact)
- In original condition (no scratches, damage, or signs of wear)
- Complete (all items from the set/pack must be returned together)
Note: For hygiene and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on reading glasses that have been worn, tried on extensively, or show signs of use. If you receive damaged or defective glasses, please contact us immediately (see Section 4 below).
3) How to Initiate a Return
- Contact us at team@vella-style.com within 30 days of receiving your order
- Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and reason for return
- Wait for confirmation — we'll send you return instructions and a return address
- Ship the item(s) back using a trackable shipping method
Return shipping costs: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or we made an error.
4) Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive damaged, defective, or incorrect items:
- Contact us immediately at team@vella-style.com with photos of the issue
- We'll provide a prepaid return label or offer a replacement/refund without requiring a return
- We may ask for additional information to help us improve quality control
5) Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned item(s):
- Approved returns: Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days
- Rejected returns: If items don't meet our return eligibility criteria, we'll contact you before processing
Shipping charges: Original shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.
6) Exchanges
If you'd like to exchange an item for a different style or color:
- Contact us at team@vella-style.com to confirm availability
- Return the original item following the return process above
- We'll send you the replacement once we receive and approve your return
7) Order Cancellations
Before shipment: You can cancel your order for a full refund if it hasn't been shipped yet. Contact us immediately at team@vella-style.com with your order number.
After shipment: Once an order has shipped, it cannot be cancelled. You'll need to follow our standard return process once you receive the item.
8) Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and cannot be returned:
- Glasses that have been worn or show signs of use
- Items returned after 30 days from delivery
- Items not in original condition or missing parts
9) Lost or Stolen Packages
VELLA is not responsible for packages that are lost or stolen after delivery confirmation. We recommend:
- Tracking your shipment using the provided tracking number
- Requiring a signature upon delivery if available
- Filing a claim with the shipping carrier if your package is lost
